Reflexology

Contact Us Reflexology balances the systems of the body, allowing them to work at their optimum levels. It opens up the airways, improving respiration and circulation, which is important for carrying out the vital functions of the body.

The treatment also supplies oxygen and nutrients to the cells which carry away toxins. It can also help to calm or stimulate the nervous system, thus improving communication between the brain and all the parts of the human body.

Each organ, gland or system in humans is represented by an area on the foot, which is thus becomes a mirror image of the body.

Treatment involves applying pressure by massage, for example, to minute parts of the feet - known as "reflex areas". This specialised massage technique releases tensions in the feet, therefore forcing the body to release natural body energy, which restores balance and energy.

At the first appointment, the Practitioner will take a full medical history of the patient in order to build up a picture of their symptoms (this information will be kept strictly private), thus highlighting any conditions which need special care and attention.

Patients are required to remove all footwear for this treatment. It is also generally recommended that patients take a shower or a bath immediately before the appointment to help them relax.

Reflexology is completely safe and compatible with other forms of medicine. For maximum benefits, a course of treatment is recommended. One complete session lasts approximately one hour.
